Kind words from Damayanti guests about their stay
“The stay at Tiza's was fantastic for a number of different reasons. The location is great, and a quick ride to Ubud by car or scooter. The space is beautiful and recently renovated, and there are so many beautiful touches in the design, architecture, and set up of the space. The entire staff is so kind and thoughtful and friendly. The daily morning yoga was such a treat, and the local instructors were phenomenal. Probably the best yoga experience I've had. We would wake up for it on time every day even if we hadn't slept much the night before. We also had the pleasure of meeting Tiza and her family, who were absolutely fantastic and incredible people. We were supposed to only stay a few days and then move to a beach for the rest of our trip, and instead canceled our plans and extended our stay at Tiza's. We spent our days exploring Ubud, relaxing at the space, and hanging out with Tiza, her family, and the staff. They made our experience in Bali magical and unforgettable.”

“We made a last minute booking for a week at The Damayanti, which was the best decision of our holiday. This is a very special place indeed, and Tiza and her team made every effort to make us feel at home and relaxed during our week stay. The place is a beautiful boutique hotel with so many personal touches from complimentary yoga in the mornings to the communal breakfast table where the staff served up an excellent choice of healthy options every morning. Tiza and her team go above and beyond to make people feel at home and welcome. We stayed over New Years Eve, and Tiza handed out handwritten notes, festive hats, and a complementary bottle of rosé for people to celebrate the new year. This is our 4th time to Ubud, and these kinds of unique touches is why this has been our favourite place to stay so far, and we will guaranteed to return to this place next time we’re back in Ubud.”

“I cannot say enough good things about Tiza’s place! Tiza’s place was so homey, and she felt like a cool older aunt, ready to make you tea and chat about your day but not in your personal space whatsoever. There is daily yoga and free breakfast in the communal area. The location also couldn’t be better - 5 minutes from the center of town on scooter but far enough away for serenity. If you want a great experience that feels like home you must stay here!”

“My partner and I booked this place last minute over New Years ,and it was the best decision we made. We've been to Ubud four times and this is our favourite place we've stayed, might my favourite place I've ever stayed in. The breakfast was amazing offering multiple options, all vegetarian and some vegan. I tried the homemade granola, fruits, omelette, and juices and they were all a 5/5. There was daily complimentary yoga with two amazing yoga instructors. They catered to multiple levels in the same class and was the perfect way to start the day. Tiza, who owns the place, Ketut, Wayan and the rest of the fabulous staff made you feel at home from the second you walked through the beautiful white timber doors to the moment you left. It's a place that fosters a community feel, and you feel you belong. Plus the recent renovation (mid 2019) has turned it into a small piece of paradise.

“Perhaps this is the best place to stay in Ubud and our best house in Bali of the six in which we lived. 5 minutes by bike to the center, but you live in complete silence. Tiza is very nice and responsive host who was always ready to help us. All the houses on the territory are very stylish and clean. You live separately, but at the same time enjoy all the advantages of living in a hotel. Delicious breakfast, saltwater pool, free yoga every morning, helpful staff and cleaning every day. I reall-really recommend it!!!”

“Our stay was absolutely PHENOMENAL! I have stayed in many hotels and am not usually motivated to write reviews but this hotel was a cut above the rest and definitely deserves a write up. Our stunning traditional yet chic Balinese rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The villa was a peaceful haven in bustling Ubud. We could unwind and relax after a busy day of taking in all of the sights and sounds of Bali. The attention to detail was amazing: daily flower petal arrangements, roasted nuts and exotic fruits in our rooms, natural body products, and friendly, knowledgeable staff. The location of the villa was perfect, walking distance to shops, restaurants, and local attractions like the Sacred Monkey Forest. Our hosts Tiza and Agung went above and beyond to make us feel at home. They were always available to offer guidance and information about sightseeing options and local customs. Agung, our guide, organized a Balinese blessing with a High Priest for our family and even brought us to his family's warung (restaurant) so that we could enjoy local foods; this was no regular tourist tour!! The staff even accommodated a last minute request for a traditional Balinese cooking class! Experienced yoga instructors were available daily.”

“I was so impressed by the staff, cleanliness and quality of the rooms whilst on a yoga retreat at The Damayanti, I would recommend this place to anyone. Linen was changed daily, breakfasts were fresh and tasty, and lounging by the pool was wonderful! However, it was the warm, helpful staff that really made my time there special as nothing was too much trouble from organising drivers to sending out washing. Thank you Damayanti!”

“I will be telling all my friends to stay here! This was the perfect combination of relaxation and adventure. The staff was incredible, and Tiza was an amazing, insightful host. Breakfast was great, and we did yoga every morning. The location is only a quick walk into town, and anything too far north, Tiza can organize a car for you! This was my first stop when I arrived from Los Angeles, and they welcomed me with open arms and made me feel right at home :) 1000% book this!”
